SHINEDOWN Members Talk Gear; Video Available
February 23, 2009Video footage of SHINEDOWN members Zach Myers, Eric Bass and Berry Kerch talking about their gear and stage setup is available for viewing on the German web site Bonedo.
"Second Chance", the new video from SHINEDOWN, was premiered exclusively via MSN Video. The clip was shot in the band's home state in December.
SHINEDOWN landed its ninth consecutive Top 5 hit at rock radio with "Second Chance". The band's run of hit singles from its first three albums makes it one of the most successful rock bands of the decade. SHINEDOWN launched "Second Chance" with a blistering performance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on September 5, 2008.
For SHINEDOWN lead singer Brent Smith, "Second Chance" is the most autobiographical track on the album. Smith wrote the lyrics about leaving his native Knoxville, Tennessee to pursue a career in rock 'n' roll.
"This song for me is the most personal song on the record because it's about how I grew up and my childhood," commented Brent. "It's about throwing caution to the wind and going after what you truly want in life."
SHINEDOWN's latest album, "The Sound Of Madness", was produced by multiple Grammy Award winner Rob Cavallo (KID ROCK, GREEN DAY, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE). The album has remained on the Billboard Top 200 album chart for 16 consecutive weeks and has shifted 329,000 copies in the United States to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
